Rules

  • Proper swimwear required.
  • Park and attraction rules must be followed.
  • Children not potty trained must wear swim diapers covered by proper swim wear.
  • No alcoholic beverages.
  • No inflatable or Styrofoam objects allowed in the wavepool or slides.
  • No goggles, masks, glasses, buttons/grommets/zippers, or hats permitted on the slides.
  • Coast Guard certified lifejackets only.
  • Family friendly music at a moderate volume allowed at the picnic area and pavilions.
  • No tobacco use or vaping, except in designated area.
  • You must be 42” tall to ride the Great White.
  • You must be 48” tall to ride the Storm and the Twister Slides.
  • In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, service dogs are permitted in the park but not in the water. Emotional Support Dogs that are not certified ADA service dogs are not permitted in the park.
  • NO REFUNDS, TRANSFERS, RAINCHECKS
  • Visitors and participants are advised that the City of Dothan is not responsible for personal injury or property damage.

General

What happens in case of rain?

Water World does not offer refunds or rain checks. If lightning is in the area, we will temporarily suspend pool and slide use until it is safe to re–enter the water.

Are there changing rooms, showers, and lockers available?

Yes, the bathhouse is equipped with showers and changing facilities. Family restrooms and poolside showers are also available at the Kids Cove. Visit the Locker Page for more information about lockers.

Do you rent tubes for the attractions?

Optional tube rentals are available for the wave pool (we accept Visa and MasterCard). Tubes are provided at no additional cost for the Great White Slide.

Can we bring our own tubes or inflatables?

No inflatables are permitted. Coast Guard-certified life jackets are allowed in the wave pool and Kids Cove pools. No personal flotation devices, life jackets, puddle jumpers, etc. permitted on the slides. We offer life jackets free of charge on a first come, first serve basis. Please visit the park office if a guest requires special accommodations.

What type of height restrictions do you have on each of your rides?

Rip Tide Wavepool: No height restriction (non-swimmers and weak swimmers must be within an arm’s length of an adult at all times) Great White: 42” minimum height requirement Twister Slides: 48" minimum height requirement Storm Bowl: 48" minimum height requirement

Is there a charge for parking?

Parking at Water World is FREE of charge.

What happens if I get separated from my party?

To avoid becoming separated from your party, make arrangements to meet at a designated area before you begin your day. If your small child gets lost, please go to the park office or contact the nearest staff member.

What are the behavior rules?

Foul language and unruly behavior will not be tolerated. No alcohol, weapons, knives or firearms are allowed in the premises. No running, spitting, or throwing of objects permitted. No solicitation or distribution of literature on park property. Management reserves the right to ask those in violation to leave the park, and no refund will be given.

Do you have First Aid personnel?

Water World is committed to ensure the safety of our guests. The park employs certified American Red Cross Lifeguards. First Aid is at the tube rental station. In case of emergency, locate the nearest team member.

Can I re-enter the park once I leave?

Get your hand stamped at the front gate as you leave if you wish to return to the park that day.

What type of credit cards do you accept?

MasterCard and Visa are honored throughout the park.

Do you have an ATM?

There isn't an ATM at Water World, but all areas of the park accept Visa & MasterCard.

What is the tobacco policy?

The use of tobacco products is allowed in the designated area in the picnic area. This includes vaping, smoking, and smokeless tobacco products.

Are pets allowed?

No pets allowed. This includes emotional support animals. ONLY certified service animals are permitted in the park. Due to health and sanitation concerns, service dogs are not allowed in public pools. Under federal law, service animals are dogs or miniature horses trained to perform tasks for people with disabilities. Dogs, pets, and other animals whose sole function is to provide comfort, companionship, or emotional support do not qualify as service animals and are not permitted in Water World, even with a doctor's note.

What to Wear

What is Water World’s dress code?

Allowed: appropriate swimsuits, swim shorts, rash guards/t-shirt cover-ups, and water shoes.
Not Allowed: buttons, zippers, grommets, belts, thong or revealing swimsuits, denim, khaki, cutoffs, tights, or capris, socks or street shoes, undergarments or bras with clasps. Management reserves the right to determine if swimwear is too revealing.

Do we have to bring our own towels?

Yes, please bring your own towels. We have beach towels available for purchase in the Surf Shop.

Are life jackets provided for free?

Yes, life jackets are FREE and available first come, first serve. Borrowed life jackets must be returned before leaving the park. We recommend that all weak and non-swimmers wear a life jacket in the wave pool. You are welcome to bring your own Coast Guard-certified life jacket (including Puddle-Jumper style jackets). We also sell CGC Puddle Jumpers in our gift shop. Life Jackets are not permitted on the slides.

Can I wear shoes on the slides and in the pools?

The only shoes allowed on the slides and in the pools are water shoes. We do suggest you wear comfortable sandals or water shoes for walking around the park.

Can my small child wear diapers?

For safety of all guests, children who wear diapers must wear swim diapers covered by proper swim wear when in the water. We sell swim diapers in The Surf Shop.

Is food available for purchase at Water World?

Can we bring our own food and drink into the park?

Outside food and beverages are welcomed in the park, but no glass bottles or alcoholic beverages are permitted. All bags and coolers are subject to inspection at entry.

Do you have grills available?

Charcoal grills are available in the picnic area and are first come, first serve. Charcoal grills are also available at the group pavilion, which can be reserved for groups of 25+.

May I bring a cooler into the park?

Coolers are welcomed in the park, but no glass bottles or alcoholic beverages are permitted. All coolers and bags are subject to inspection at entry.
