Water World Park Rules

  • Proper swimwear required.
  • Park and attraction rules must be followed.
  • Children not potty trained must wear swim diapers covered by proper swim wear.
  • No alcoholic beverages.
  • No inflatable or Styrofoam objects allowed in the wavepool or slides.
  • Coast Guard certified lifejackets only.
  • Family friendly music at a moderate volume allowed at the picnic area and pavilions.
  • No tobacco use or vaping, except in designated area.
  • You must be 42” tall to ride the Great White.
  • You must be 48” tall to ride the Storm and the Twister Slides.
  • In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, service dogs are permitted in the park but not in the water.  Emotional Support Dogs that are not certified ADA service dogs are not permitted in the park.
  • NO REFUNDS OR RAINCHECKS.
  • Visitors and participants are advised that the City of Dothan is not responsible for personal injury or property damage.

Frequently Asked Questions

General

Water World does not offer refunds or rain checks. If lightning is in the area, we will temporarily suspend pool and slide use until it is safe to reenter the water.
Our Bathhouse is equipped with showers and changing facilities. Lockers are available throughout the park. Visit our Locker Page for more information.
Inner tubes are available for rental for $3 plus a $1 refundable deposit.
Coast Guard-certified life jackets only in the wave pool and Kids Cove pools. No personal flotation devices, life jackets, puddle jumpers, etc. permitted on the slides.
Rip Tide Wavepool: No height restriction (non-swimmers and weak swimmers must be within an arm’s length of an adult at all times)
Great White: 42” minimum height requirement
Twister Slides: 48" minimum height requirement
Storm Bowl: 48" minimum height requirement
Parking at Water World is FREE of charge.
To avoid becoming separated from your party, make arrangements to meet at a designated area before you begin your day. If your small child gets lost, please go to the Office (located next to the Surf Side Grill) or contact the nearest staff member.
Foul language and unruly behavior will not be tolerated. No alcohol, weapons, knives or firearms are allowed in the premises. No running, spitting, or throwing of objects permitted. No solicitation or distribution of literature on park property. Management reserves the right to ask those in violation to leave the park.
Water World is committed to ensure the safety of our guests. The park employs certified American Red Cross Lifeguards. First Aid is in the park office. In case of emergency, locate the nearest team member.
Get your hand stamped at the front gate as you leave if you wish to return to the park that day.
MasterCard and Visa are honored at the ticket booth, Surf Side Grill, The Surf Shop, and Surf’s Up Snack Shack.
Our ATM is located in The Surf Shop.
The use of tobacco products is allowed in the designated area in the picnic area. This includes vaping, smoking, and smokeless tobacco products.
Service animals that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for persons with disabilities are permitted. Service animals must wear a service vest or tag. Comfort or emotional support animals are not permitted in the park.

What to Wear

Allowed: appropriate swimsuits, swim shorts, rash guards/t-shirt cover-ups, and water shoes.

Not Allowed: buttons, zippers, grommets, belts, thong or revealing swimsuits, denim, khaki, cutoffs, tights, or capris, socks or street shoes, undergarments or bras with clasps.
The Surf Shop is well-stocked and has everything you may need to enjoy the fun and sun at Water World. We have a large selection of merchandise which includes men’s, women’s and children’s suits, t-shirts, tank-tops, and a variety of hats, sunglasses, shoes, beach towels, and sunscreen. If you’re short of cash, there is an ATM located inside the shop.
Yes, please bring your own towels. We have beach towels available for purchase in the Gift Shop.
Yes, life jackets are FREE but must be returned before leaving the park. They are for small children and non-swimmers. You are welcome to bring your own Coast Guard-certified life jacket (including Puddle-Jumper style jackets). We also sell CGC Puddle Jumpers in our gift shop.
The only shoes allowed on the slides and in the pools are water shoes. We do suggest you wear comfortable sandals or water shoes for walking around the park.
For safety of all guests, children who are not potty trained must wear swim diapers covered by proper swim wear when in the water. We sell swim diapers in The Surf Shop.

Food & Beverages

Water World has a variety of food and beverages available at the Surf Side Grill. We sell hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken, fries, and other meal and snack items. The Sugar Shack sells ice cream and treats. We now also sell pizza at our new concession area! The Sweet Shack sells ice cream and treats.
Outside food and drink is allowed with the exception of glass bottles and alcoholic beverages. However we do not allow any food in the pool enclosures, except in cabana areas. Drinks only with a lid in pool enclosures.
There are grills available in our picnic area that are on a first-come, first-serve basis. There are also two grills at each party pavilion which may be reserved in advance for groups of 50 or more.
Coolers may be brought in with the exception of glass bottles or alcoholic beverages. No food or drink is allowed inside of the pool enclosures. Water World reserves the right to inspect any items carried in or out of the Water Park.
